Revenue repatriation: Emirates plans to reduce flights to Nigeria

Due to challenges in repatriating revenue from Nigeria, Emirates Airline has planned to cut the number of flights from eleven to seven. Disclosing this in a letter to Nigerian government, the officials of the Airline said this would take effects from middle of August. The letter said, $85 million stuck in the country as of July, a figure that had been rising by $10 million per month. NCAA suspends Dana Airline indefinitely over ATL, AOC

By Sylva Emeka-Okereke, JP, Publisher Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended Dana Airline indefinitely over its Air Transport License (ATL) as well as Air Operator Certificate (AOC) with effect from midnight, Wednesday, July 20, 2022.  NCAA announced the suspension yesterday in a statement signed by its Director-GeneraL, Musa Nuhu. The authority said it suspended the operating licenses after “discovering that the airline is no longer in a position to meet its financial obligations and to conduct safe flight operations”. Unpredictable summer air travels, as fear heightens over disruptions

Stranded air travellers In the last one week, more than 1,500 flights were canceled in the United States of America alone, as the Country is heading into its busy July holiday.
